About this tool

What is a URL QR Code?

A URL QR code opens a web address when scanned. EasyQR Kit normalizes addresses such as example.com to a secure https URL, then lets you style the data pattern and finder corners without routing scans through our servers.

How to create one

  1. 1Paste a complete or bare website address.
  2. 2Confirm the URL and choose classic, two-color or gradient styling in QR Color Studio.
  3. 3Wait for scan verification, then download PNG for digital use or SVG for print.

Frequently asked questions

Good to know

Can I enter a URL without https?+

Yes. EasyQR Kit adds https automatically when no protocol is provided.

Can I create a two-color or gradient URL QR code?+

Yes. Choose custom data and finder colors or a linear gradient. The browser verifies the result before enabling downloads.

Can I change the URL after printing?+

No. This is a static QR code. Changing destinations later requires a dynamic QR service.

Does EasyQR Kit track scans?+

No. Static URL QR codes contain only your destination and do not route through EasyQR Kit.

Practical guidance

Build a URL QR code around a dependable destination

The QR pattern may never expire, but the page it opens can disappear, become private or stop working on phones. Destination ownership and maintenance matter more than the image alone.

Use a destination you control

Prefer an HTTPS page on the organization’s own domain. Open it in a private browser window to confirm that visitors do not need your login session, an app installation or permission to a private document.

For menus, campaigns and printed packaging, choose a stable address that can redirect to a replacement page later. Avoid temporary file-sharing links and shortened URLs from services the business does not control.

Make the destination clear before scanning

Print a short purpose label and the recognizable domain beside the code. This helps users decide whether to scan and makes it easier to notice a sticker placed over the original code in a public location.

The landing page should identify the same organization shown on the sign and load well on a mobile connection. Do not make users zoom a desktop PDF or dismiss several pop-ups before reaching the promised information.

Maintain every public placement

Record where each code is installed and who owns the destination. Test public signs after a website migration, domain change, campaign update or change to document-sharing permissions.

EasyQR Kit creates a direct static link and does not track scans. If analytics are required, use first-party measurements on the destination page and disclose them appropriately rather than hiding an unfamiliar redirect inside the code.
