What is a Contact QR Code?

A vCard QR code stores structured contact details. When scanned, a phone can offer to add the information directly to its address book. Color presets, custom finder colors and vector SVG export help it fit professional business cards.

How to create one

  1. 1Add a name and any contact details you want to share.
  2. 2Choose classic, two-color or gradient styling and optionally upload a square logo.
  3. 3Wait for the scan check, then download it for a business card, badge or storefront.

Practical guidance

Create a contact QR code worth saving

A useful vCard is concise, recognizable and verified from the final business card. More fields are not automatically better because every extra character increases QR density.

Include only details the recipient needs

Start with a clear name and one primary contact method. Add company, job title and website when they help the recipient identify the person. Long notes, duplicate phone numbers and full addresses should have a specific purpose.

Use a public business email and website when the card will be distributed widely. Do not encode private information that should not be readable by anyone who obtains a copy of the printed card.

Plan the card around the QR code

Reserve a plain area with an uninterrupted quiet zone. Keep text, trim lines, decorative patterns and dark photography outside that border. A short label such as “Scan to save contact” explains the action without crowding the code.

SVG is the safer handoff format when a designer will resize the artwork. Ask the designer not to stretch it in one direction, recolor it without checking contrast or crop the white margin to make the layout tighter.

Check how phones map every field

Scan the final export and confirm that name, company, title, telephone, email and address appear in the expected contact fields. Different address-book apps may display labels differently, so prioritize the information that must be correct.

A static vCard cannot be changed after printing. When a phone number, email, role or company changes, generate a new image and update the artwork. Test a physical proof before approving a large print run.
