About this tool

What is a QR Code Scanner?

An online QR code scanner converts the square pattern in a photo, screenshot or camera view back into its encoded text. If the result is a website, EasyQR Kit shows the full address for review before you choose to open it.

How to scan a QR code

  1. 1Upload a PNG, JPEG or WebP image, or allow camera access when you want to scan a printed code.
  2. 2Keep the full QR code inside the frame and wait for the browser to decode it.
  3. 3Review the complete result, then copy, share or open a verified web address yourself.

Safe scanning guidance

Read a QR code without trusting it blindly

Decoding a QR code reveals what it contains; it does not prove that the content is safe. Inspect a full web address before opening it and treat unexpected login or payment requests cautiously.

Use a complete, sharp image

Keep all four edges of the QR code visible, including the plain margin around the pattern. A screenshot is usually more reliable than a blurred photo, especially when the code already appears on the phone you are using.

If the first attempt fails, crop away unrelated content without cutting the quiet zone, increase screen brightness, or move the camera until glare no longer covers the finder squares.

Inspect links before opening them

Read the destination domain character by character. A familiar brand name elsewhere in a long address does not mean that brand controls the site; the registered domain immediately before the first slash is what matters.

EasyQR Kit shows decoded content and never opens it automatically. Avoid pages that unexpectedly request passwords, banking details, recovery codes or app installation.

Keep sensitive codes private

Tickets, account setup codes and some payment QR codes can contain identifiers or one-time credentials. Do not upload them to an unfamiliar service or share the decoded result publicly.

This scanner processes image pixels and camera frames locally in the browser. Close the page or choose Scan another when you have finished; EasyQR Kit does not need to store the image or result.
